What Makes You A Good Manager?

If your heart is responsible for the proper functioning of human body then a manager is responsible in the same manner for the proper functioning of a company or an organization. The manager has various roles to perform in a company which could include leading, communication, goal setting, motivating, conflict resolve, resource handler etc. The two most important aspects on which a manager is judged is on their effectiveness and how efficient they are. If these two criteria are met well then it could be said that the manager is successful in the job they are doing. However, below are also some points mentioned which are important for a manager.
As mentioned above, effectiveness if one criteria on which the manager is judged.

If the employees within the organization are performing well then that would reflect well on the capability of the manager of how he/she is motivating the employees to perform better. Therefore, this would show that the manager is effective in the work they are performing. Furthermore, there are various cues from which the performance of the manager could be evaluated, however the most important cue would be the success of the company since the manager is like the heart of the organization.
Another most important of a successful manager is in terms of dialogue which refers to the communication skills of the manager. This is one of the most important skills required by a successful manage to have good communication skills because if the manager is unable to communicate with the employee’s then that would result in a chaos in the organization since no one would be aware of what needs to be done and which direction to go into. Therefore, a successful and an effective manager need’s to have appropriate communications skills.

A Certain Sense Of Success
This factor refers to the external and internal environment of the organization from which the owners of the company could derive cues as previously mentioned. The point here is that the success is sensed rather than measured in quantative or qualitative terms. Therefore, every manager needs to make sure that they maintain a healthy environment which would provide cue’s to impress the top level management.
