The Year of the Dragon Expected to Produce Baby Boom

The year 2012 is the Year of the Dragon for those following the Chinese lunar calendar. The dragon, is a zodiac sign associated with good fortune and intelligence and is believed to be the sign of those destined for success. According to the lunar calendar, the Year of the Dragon only arrives every 12 years. Back in 2000, Hong Kong saw more than a 5% increase in births. It will be interesting is to see how this translates into births in the U.S., since we're a melting pot of many different cultures, including those that follow the Chinese lunar calendar.
