The Wall Street Journal
interviewed a bunch of couples who are dealing with job loss from one or both partners. They found a few different things that these couples had in common. One of them is that when one spouse is stuck at home all day and the other is still in the workforce, the jobless begins to get a little clingy. So much of our identity is… Continue

It's no surprise that having a kid is expensive. So in 2008, the first full year of what has been dubbed The Great Recession, there's no shock to hear that U.S. births fell 2 percent. This dip in births echos what happend durring The Great Depression too. While this article from USA Today points out that it's only speculation that the economy is the reason for the birth dip, strong evidence supports the theory. For example, the largest decline in births were in California and Florida,… Continue

You: Reporting – “He’s home-couch-dinner-couch-TV-bed. Boring!”
Your girlfriends: Uproarious laughter. “What did you expect? Meaningful conversation?” More laughter.
Meaningful conversation. Outside of arguing about money or the kids? Yeah . . . That’s a challenging rabbit to pull out of the hat.
Worth a try, don’t ya think? So tap the hat lightly with your magician’s wand and pull out - (wait for it)
A smile to greet your mate when he (or you)… Continue

Steve Smith (British) and Carmen Ruiz-Perez (Spanish) met 17 years ago when Carmen was a foreign exchange student. After just a year the couple got engaged. Unfortunately, she moved to Paris to run a shop and their relationship abruptly ended. A few years later Steve wrote a love letter and sent it to her mother's home in Spain. The letter fell behind the fireplace and disappeared only to be discovered over a decade later when builders were tearing down the fireplace. Carmen recalls,… Continue

If your method of tanning has been to hop in a tanning bed, you may want to rethink the cost of darkening up. An analysis of about 20 studies suggest that the ultraviolet radiation used in tanning beds make them as dangerous as arsenic and mustard gas and increases your risk of skin cancerby 75% if you started using tanning beds before the age of 30. So if you don't have a beach nearby and good sunblock, what are you to do? The American Cancer Society recommends creams for… Continue

You've heard of the food pyramid, but have you heard about the sex pyramid? Self
magazine has put together their own pyramid to help spice up your sex life and keep it fresh. In the video toward the end you'll hear them discuss how the pyramid can change during the course of your relationship. Another thing that's interesting is seeing if you and your spouse have a similar looking pyramid if you were to put together your own. It may reveal a surprising result of where you're doing really… Continue

Him: Scowling. You’re late. We were supposed to be at the Smiths a half hour ago. It’s business!
You: Miffed. Well it’s not my fault – I had to stay late at work!
A charming couple you’ll be tonight. Forced smiles to the Smiths and daggers to each other.
No fun between the sheets tonight, nuh-uh. It’s a toss-up right now if you’ll even end up in the same bed.
Too bad. The Smiths are good company and it could have been a relaxing, enjoyable… Continue

A new study published in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior
says that people who get married and stay married may enjoy better health than the perpetually single. However, those who lose their spouse through divorce or become widowed fare worse than those who never marry. Jumping back into union does seem to lessen some of the health effects of divorce. Marital history was linked to… Continue

conflict: kuh n-flikt; verb.
To come into collision or disagreement; be contradictory, at variance, or in opposition; clash
Conflict has the power to tear apart even the most in love couples and it also has the power to bring people closer. Lets face it, every relationship has conflict and if it doesn’t, that would be a cause for alarm. With no conflict, a relationship can get stagnant and even boring. Each member of a couple brings their own feelings, thoughts and opinions into… Continue

For the past week, I have scoured the internet blogs with the intent of discovering what people have to say about the recent choices of Steve McNair and the impact of these same choices. It is interesting to see how angry and disgusted people are, that he has been given a heroes farewell...To read this blog in its entirety go to http://www.supporttm.com/Blog/index.php to comment.

Him: “How was your day?”
You: “Oh, you know, same-old, same-old.”
I know, you’re bored with your day, you’re tired, the last thing you want to talk about is your day.
But he’s interested. And he won’t stay interested unless you start sharing. . .
It’s up to you. You don’t have to give him an hour by hour rundown, you can chat about something you noticed on your drive home, or the Web article you read on break, or the gossip about the new… Continue

Every time I look at a guy while he’s talking his “game” to me. I wonder, “Does he get it?” And if I ask that question all of a sudden, would he even understand what I’m talking about.
I know that as he’s talking he’s probably (one) trying to picture me naked, (two) wondering if I’m as freaky as the books that I write and/or (three) wondering how fast he can get that freak in the nearest bed.
While I’m looking at him talk, I’m wondering (one) does he have good teeth (two)… Continue

I popped in on my colleague, Susan Naylen Sorrell, who owns a wonderful, mom-friendly sex shop in Calgary called, A Little More Interesting
With a mischievous glint in her eye she said, “Trina, you have to watch this!” And sent me home to review, the Pirates 2 Stagnetti’s Revenge; a four disk porn epilogue that is a spoof on The Pirates of the Caribbean series.*
Upon arriving home, my thirteen month old… Continue

I think that’s always been my fear and the only reason why I never get serious any more.
I mean I pride myself on memorizing books by the like of Gregory Godek http://www.1001waystoberomantic.com and Laura Corn http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/002-5224313-4224027 but I know when I do all this for my man will he return the romantic suggestion.

While speaking at the Taboo Sex Show, a colleague mentioned a discussion with her morning waiter from our hotel restaurant. When he found out what she was selling at the show, he confessed no woman he has met was “perfect” enough for him.
As such he decided the best compromise was to buy a perfectly proportioned blow up doll. Problem was it was going to cost him $10,000 USD plus. He had been saving from his two waitering jobs since and had almost come up with the entire amount. He… Continue

I guess I was lucky because I base every kiss that I get from a guy from the first kiss I ever got.
His name was Leroy and I thought he was just so cute, but he never paid any attention to me. I was twelve and he used to come over my best friend’s next-door neighbors house every once in a while during the summer. For two summers I waited for him to pay attention to me.
I’m a lioness. I do the hunting without them knowing their being hunted. I made sure he saw my new… Continue

In Algebra, we get the formula of:
A + B = C
Last night, I was speaking with a friend. Maybe I was tired; maybe I was on a “weed high” (although I don’t smoke or inhale, LOL), where my brain was just thinking deeply on different subjects.
So let me see if I can get u to understand where I’m coming from.
If C equals “Relationship Maturity” what is A and B?
And if you figured out what A and B was, could you apply this formula to not only the… Continue

Instead of writing about the first time i had puppy love, i'm going to write about the first time i knew i was unconditionally in love at first sight. I never really knew how powerful an emotional love was until I had so much hate in me I couldn't see straight.
a better title for this would be:
An Ode to My Love Prophet
(the person who taught me love)
The first person I fell in love with was my son. Through my pregnancy of him, I hated men. My spirit had… Continue

Is your vagina fully aroused before you start having intercourse?
Women (and men) assume that because she’s had an orgasm that her orgasmic platform is properly aroused. It’s usually not the case. It takes the average woman between 10 to 15 minutes for her orgasmic platform to fully engorge with blood (a man's penis takes approximately 30 seconds to one minute). The average couple sex lasts for 10 to 12 minutes, meaning sex is usually over just as she's getting properly… Continue
